Colorado has several hot springs resorts, but those can be expensive and overcrowded. This hike will lead you to a natural hot spring pool along the Colorado River.

Radium Hot Springs is located near State Bridge and the hike is a beautiful 2 mile adventure.
The hike starts across from the Mugrage Campground near the entrance to Radium. The campground is free and a great spot to stay while exploring all the area has to offer.
The hike starts with a quick incline with views of Yarmony Canyon, because of course nothing great comes without a little hard work. Then your journey will take you through a meadow full of wildflowers and sage.
Your trek will lead you to a cliff face overlooking the Colorado River and the Hot Spring. From there you can either take a short scramble down to the hot spring or you can take the more daring approach and jump off the cliff into the Colorado River. (Jump at your own risk.)

Once you jump into the balmy waters of the mighty Colorado you will definitely want to warm up with a dip into the hot spring alongside the river.

If that isn’t enough excitement for you try balancing on a Slackline across the Colorado River above the hot spring.

Be aware that during the peak of the spring snowmelt the hot spring could be washed out by the high levels of the Colorado River.
Their are plenty of other activities to do in the area though with some great fly fishing, hiking, biking, and rafting.
Save your money, bypass the resorts, and go exploring the natural wonders of the great outdoors instead.
